Fire alarm cable

 

The ACP/LASER is a linear thermal detection system specifically designed for fire protection applications. It can measure temperature profiles at thousands of points simultaneously, all along a sensor cable that can be up to 4 km long. In fire protection, the ACP/LASER, can not only determine the position, but also determine the course of the fire thanks to the temperature sensors along the cable. The fiber optic cable offers several advantages thanks to the measurement medium. Signals are immune to electromagnetic interference, consequently the integrity and precision of the measurement are always reliable, even if, for example, are in areas power cables and transformers. Since no electric current is used in the optical fiber and the fiber is a relatively inert and dielectric (non-conductive) medium, this is a safe technology for use in hazardous environments. In the first picture, two different fire alarm cables are shown: the first with with metal tube and stranded wire, PA or FRNC sheath, the second with PA tube and aramid yarn, PA or FRNC sheath.
